Greetings Black Secret Progressives,
Just a quick heads up, we have an amazing programme of events coming your way in the next couple of weeks. This weekend alone we have a 'Double Bill' of two unmissable events. On Saturday 17th May we’ll be LIVE in London with a Special Event Celebrating our West African Roots, Culture and Civilisations. Followed by, on Sunday 18th May a very special Town Hall Forum online event called ‘The Importance of African Spirituality Today’ with Special Guests Pablo Menfesawe - Imani, innovator and propagator of African & Egyptian Yoga and Paul Obinna, Master Teacher, Yoruba Priest and Spiritual practitioner and author of The 8000 years of African & European history TIMELINE Scroll. And the following week on Saturday the 24th May, The Black Secret & True Culture will be LIVE in Birmingham!
Sunday's Banger of an Event
For those of you who were with us on Sunday 11th May, for our online event West African Culture & Civilisation / Why It Matters, will know just what an inspirational and powerful event that turned out to be! Robin dropped many 'metaphorical bombs' in a truly thought provoking and enlightening lecture. And Rabbi Kohain Halevi brought the fire and passion through some powerful speeches and commentaries. This amazing and inspiring event was recorded, and will be made available for re-watching soon. For those of you who attended, thank you for contributing to what turned out to be a Powerful Cultural experience. For those of you who missed it, all I can say is don’t miss the re-watch, or should I say re-experience!

Join The Black Secret for a powerful Live event at International House in London with Robin Walker The Black History Man, and The Black Secret with partners True Culture Travel & MWnT, as they celebrate and explore the importance of West African history, culture, and personal empowerment.

The Importance of
African Spirituality Today!
Our next Live Town Hall Forum will be on the subject of ‘The importance of African Spirituality Today and will be held on Sunday 18th of May with Robin Walker, Pablo Iman & Paul Obinna. We will be asking the question why does it matter for modern Africans in the Diaspora to have a ‘Spiritual’ and ‘Internal’ African lookout. What does that provide for the individual, what does that mean for the community? What can we learn from our traditional systems and the history behind them? We will also discuss African expressions of disciplines such as Martial Arts and Yoga and our heritage within these significant fields and their importance to the mind, body & soul.
About our Guest Speakers
Pablo Imani is the founder of Afrikan Yoga a system of integral healing with Ancient Egyptian origins known as Tama-re Smai Taui. Pablo is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, a Holistic Health and Wellbeing Consultant and Author of Afrikan Yoga ‘A Practical Guide to Smai Posture, Breath and Meditation.’ Pablo is also a Massage therapist, and Balanced Health practitioner trained in Kinesiology as well as Martial Artist of many disciplines.
Paul Obinna is a Priest in the Yoruba Spiritual system and an Educator. Since the 1990s he has facilitated personal & professional development sessions for mentors, college lecturers, schoolteachers, police officers, government committees, think tanks and other professional bodies. He is also the creator of The Lineage Timeline, detailing 8000 Years of African and World History which has been used in schools and institutions as a dynamic tool to open minds and hearts for over 20 years.
